I just built a motorcycle. It’s a 1981 Honda CB750 in a Brat Cafe style.
I bought it for $700 and had to rent a pickup truck and have it fork lifted in. When I got it home I took it apart and did my best to learn about it and clean it up, replacing many parts as I went along. It’s still not to a really stable solid point but it’s runnin and stopping pretty well. I painted it blue, yellow and black so far and will probably cover it in stickers from other riders who have youtubes.

Here’s a few pics I shot today since I need to have some promo pics to show you who I am a little bit. I look forward to shooting some scenic travel photography and adventure photography as I travel along the roads.
I like the fact that motorcycles can stop really easily anywhere on the side of the road to take a picture. I always see things I like in my car and don’t stop because it seems like too much trouble. It’s usually a sunset or a view across a field. Not only can I stop and take those shots now, I can feature the motorcyle and myself in them with a lightweight camera and tripod along with me. I’ll probably just be using my Canon G7x which I’m still learning to use.
I’m excited about camping next to my bike and riding it to places where I can either hide in the bushes or to a legit camp site. I’ll also be staying at friend’s places of course, for a shower, a good sleep, and to rest and regroup and socialize and take more pics of happy times with friends which I’ll also be posting here and on my instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mojokissmoto/
I’m not a motorcycle snob. I like any bike, and any vehicle for that matter. I like to travel. I like the idea of travel and adventure. I had a yamaha XV700 or something like that… and it was fine. Now I have this Honda, and we will see. So far not bad. It needs attentions still, but as long as it will go, I will go with it.
My friends say take my car. I have a 2001 Mercedes Wagon that is very comfortable to travel in. I sleep in it with blacked out windows in the middle of neighborhoods and no one knows. I’ve restored and lived in old sailboats and sailed hundreds of miles… But I wanna do this motorcycle thing because it’s different. I did the car thing. I love camping in remote places, usually free campsites that no one generally cares to populate. It would be more fun with friends. Maybe I’ll meet some. I’m not a heavy socializer so I’ll have to find a way to relate.
